PreMask AI’s local dictionary finds the client names, projects and private terms you choose to protect.
You know which words matter
A project name, a client, an internal phrase: general detection cannot know everything that is confidential to you. PreMask AI’s new dictionary lets you explicitly save those terms and find them in future analyses.
Use it for personal documents or at work, in the same app.
Add once, review every time
On Mac, open the dictionary using the book icon in the top bar. On Windows, find it in settings. Add a term such as “Project Orchid.” Its occurrences are then suggested for masking in new pasted text and imported documents.
A “Confidential dictionary” label identifies these suggestions. You can uncheck them, and you must still approve the review before generating masked text.
Matching is exact: capitalization and accents matter. Add useful variants. Save up to 500 terms, each up to 200 characters long. When a term overlaps another detection, the suggestion covers the combined passage to retain existing sensitive coverage.
Your dictionary stays on your computer
Terms are saved immediately in an encrypted local file. They are not added to your account, sent to an AI or automatically learned from your documents. The dictionary belongs to this installation; it does not sync between devices or colleagues.
Remove a term whenever you want. The change applies to future analyses without altering mappings in sessions you have already prepared. Deleting a session does not delete the dictionary.
Detection can still miss information, including identifying context or poorly read images. Review the result before sharing and follow your organization’s rules.
