Yes. PreMask AI is designed and developed in Switzerland by Ludovic Marie, an independent developer. Documents are processed on your own computer. Accounts, the website and payments use providers whose operations may extend outside Switzerland; see the privacy policy for details.
Detection and restoration run on your computer, with encrypted local history. You then choose whether to copy the masked text into your AI. Account and payment services are online and separate; they do not receive your documents.
No. Review suggestions and add any missed names, business secrets or passages. Context can still be identifying. Masking does not guarantee anonymity or override your organization’s sharing policies.
We do not offer voluntary change-of-mind refunds. Stripe may also approve refunds under its Managed Payments policy. Statutory withdrawal, guarantee and refund rights still apply. Read the terms and check your computer before purchasing. Canceling a subscription stops future renewals.
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any tool that accepts text. Subscriptions to those services are separate. PreMask AI retains the mapping to restore exact placeholders in the reply.
No. The included AI runs on the CPU on M1 and newer Macs and 64-bit Intel/AMD or ARM Windows PCs. Intel Macs have standard mode with contact detection, manual masking and restoration. See the hardware targets above.
PDFs, including scans, DOCX, ODT, text and images. The native Mac edition also supports formats including DOC, RTF and HEIC. Shared output is masked text, not a redacted PDF or image. See the guide for edition differences.
One payment for the PreMask AI license, with no renewal. App updates are included while the product is maintained. This does not promise unlimited human support or compatibility with every future operating system. Founder includes the same features.
PreMask AI automatically checks for updates and downloads them. Install them from the app without returning to the website. It may offer a restart after saving your work. Settings let you turn off automatic downloads or check for an update yourself.
